As the Director of Store Operations you will be responsible for developing, enhancing and driving all Lands' End operational practices for the Lands' End Shops at Sears, the Lands' End Inlets and the Retail Operations team. Successful candidates will be equipped lead at a strategic level, manage the execution of short and long term goals, apply financial acumen to business decisions, and build relationships across Lands' End and the field organization.
Key
Responsibilities:
Manages the retail operations function
- Develops operational strategy and fiscal objectives
- Establishes and controls departmental budgets (payroll and expense)
- Defines organizational structure and directs talent management (performance and succession planning)
- Creates an energizing, highly productive and flexible work environment for the retail operations team
Collaborates with all functional groups within Lands' End and the Sears retail organization to ensure the retail division operates efficiently and effectively
- Facilitates cross-functional process development and improvement
- Partners with LE Senior Leaders and Regional Directors to identify and prioritize areas for testing customer-focused business opportunities
- Partners with LE Planning and Inventory teams to manage and prevent product issues and discrepancies
- Partners with Sears field leadership team regarding operational and people processes which affect the function of the Lands' End Shop
Administers and monitors store operations to achieve a consistent and customer-friendly brand experience
- Ensures operational policies and procedures are developed, effectively implemented, and maintained appropriately in all stores and store concepts
- Gathers data, develops insights and formulates improvement recommendation and/or corrective actions
- Performs robust business analyses and builds financial business cases for senior management as necessary
- Directs the training function for new and existing stores, ensuring meaningful training initiatives and programs are effectively developed and delivered
- Oversees communication to Lands' End field Leadership and Shop teams
Requirements:
8-10 years retail operations experience in retail operations, specialty store and/or big box environments
Management of a specialty store or multi store environment preferred
Ability to identify opportunities, diagnose issues and develop new business processes
Highly skilled in problem solving and priority management
Project planning and management skills
Ability to apply analytical acumen to understand complex business scenarios
Excellent communication skills; listening, verbal and written
Fosters teamwork and works well in a collaborative team environment
Strong work ethic, complemented by positive, can-do attitude-must be self-motivated and prepared to work in start-up environment
Strong technical skills and computer knowledge
Ability to influence others outside of direct reporting relationships
Ability to effectively lead and inspire others, creates motivating environmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
