Lands'End, a leading international brand of classically inspired clothing and homeproducts, is currently looking for capable, driven Senior Merchant to help shape the future here at Lands' End. Lands'End is a multi-channel retailer offering products through specialty catalogs,the Internet and in Sears stores. With 50years of experience, Lands' End is world renowned for superior customer serviceand is recognized as an innovator in the industry.
As a Senior Merchant, you will partner with the Divisional Merchandise Manager (DMM) and General Merchandise Manager(GMM) to establish the business strategy along with key partners. You will be responsible for driving the footwear category through the product development process. Specific responsibilitiesinclude financial planning, bottom line profit and loss, development of newproduct, and evaluation of existing styles. This person will work closely with Design, Creative, Quality and Inventory on a variety of things, including:product content for catalog and internet, quality and fit of styles and customer fulfillment.
Successful candidates should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

years of specialty retail experience; multi-channel brand experience is a plus.
Acute awareness of market trends (trend forecasting); can translate this into profitable growth and measurable results.
Instinct and passion for great product (taste level), strong product point of view.
Strong analytical skills and financial acumen; demonstrated by the ability to analyze situations and make recommendations that are consist with the brand; critical thinker.
Self-motivated - pushes self to perform at a higher level which in return delivers recognition and inspires others.
Flexible/nimble - continuously analyzes and reacts to the business landscape; can rally the team or quickly alter course if necessary.
Demonstrated ability to take calculated business risks.
Demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities; proven relationship builder.
Ability to lead teams and transform/develop talent.
Proven experience working cross functionally.
Exceptional presentation skills (ability to tell the story).
