As a Quantitative Analyst, you will play a key role in designing and conducting quantitative analyses that drive strategic business decisions. You will be responsible for data analysis and interpretation using statistical models and other quantitative techniques that can be used to make business decisions. You will also be integral in design and analysis of statistical testing that incorporates catalog, internet, and retail data in an effort to optimize profitability levels of the business. In this effort, you will work with business leaders to determine what problems need to be solved, and determine viable methods to conduct analysis, including database research, basic statistical analyses, and comparative reporting. Critical to your success will be the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with members of the management team as well as statisticians and programmers.
Successful candidates will have 3
years quantitative analysis and technical experience with demonstrated ability in the following areas:
Bachelors or Masters degree in business, quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics) or equivalent work experience
Experience in building predictive models for customer selection using SAS/SAS E Miner
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes for data preparation
Experience working in UNIX operating system and on large databases.
Advanced SAS and SQL programming experience, and experience working with large databases
Experience using SAS Enterprise Miner in the direct consumer catalog industry preferred
This position may be filled at varying levels, depending on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
