Job details Description Lands' End is hiring a Salesforce Application Engineer to join our B2B order management team. You will be part of a talented and motivated team. The order management application utilizes 'Glovia' order management solution on the Salesforce platform. You will be leading the Salesforce development team located across multiple countries. In this role, you will have technical oversight of the team by providing guidance and expertize in solution design, development and unit testing. This position provides an opportunity to directly contribute to the growing success of our Lands' End Business Outfitters business. The role is located at our Dodgeville Wisconsin corporate office. Work can be performed on site or remotely (a few days per week), per our remote work policies and specific requirements of the project. The position reports the IT Manager of Application Engineering. You will also work directly and frequently with our Director of Application Engineering and Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineering leads and peer senior developers on matters of application architecture strategy. Responsibilities This role will be responsible for gathering business requests and analyzing business requirements while designing and developing innovative Force.com solutions to meet the business and end-user requirements. You will design, develop, test and support custom salesforce.com applications software using Apex Triggers, Visual Force or Sites pages, Web Services, Saleforce.com Metadata API etc. as appropriate using code authoring tools such as Eclipse IDE to satisfy the applications' business requirements. Perform Salesforce.com configuration and administrative functions as needed. Member of an integrated agile team and will be the steward of their work product throughout all stages of the delivery process. With direction from the Application Delivery Manager, and in partnership with the engineering team, assess and recommend improvements to the existing Salesforce.com implementation. Generate ideas for improvements based on business and technical design challenges. Ensure technical work is in alignment with Lands' End's architecture and security principles, patterns, standards and controls. Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring of junior developers through code and design reviews and one-on-one learning sessions. Qualifications 10
years of IT/Application development experience. 6
years of hands-on experience in developing complex integrated Salesforce.com based applications using Apex triggers and REST based Web services, Visual Force, Salesforce.com Metadata API, Sites etc. Proficient in using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Eclipse Force.com IDE, integration with GIT). Solid experience writing Visualforce and Apex classes and triggers. Platform Developer 1 Certification is a must. Any Salesforce Designer Certifications are a plus. Strong hands-on experience with salesforce configuration and development. Good expertise on the out-of-the-box capabilities of the Salesforce Lightning Platform and developing custom solutions for the Lightning Experience with LWC. Good expertise with developing custom solutions with Apex (triggers, web services, test classes, batch/queueable apex, callouts etc.). Expertise with salesforce governor limits and coding best practices. Expertise with working in an organization with high data volume. Expertise with salesforce environment and release management processes - Salesforce DX CLI, Source Control, CI/CD, migrating code between environments etc. Expertise in handling production support tasks and debugging issues. Experience designing solutions with the understanding of various governor limits on Salesforce. Ability to translate high-level business requirements into Salesforce.com implementation requirements and design. Professional experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment, including development/staging/production (or similar) deployment cycles. Good understanding of web technologies:
HTML, Javascript, JQuery. Exposure to integration tools like Talend and Datastage is desired. Regularly delivers unique, innovative and efficient solutions to business and technical problems. Proven ability to deliver effective, on-time results from an established set of tasks. Ability to communicate complex system information to individuals and groups of wide backgrounds and experiences. Demonstrates excellent written and oral presentation skills. Working knowledge of open-source tools (Git, Jenkins). Experience leading developers located across multiple geographic location(s) (onsite/offshore model). Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
